My interposer cards are designed to fit in either ROM or PDS sockets in order to enable diagnostics and development of new cards for Macintosh. Every single signal available is broken out to an LED to give a delightfully blinky show while the computer does its thing. Stare at them long enough, and you might just find meaning...
"DAS BLINKENLIGHTS" blinkensimm
This fits in the Macintosh ROM socket. It has both test points and a ROM socket to insert the system ROM into on the rear of the module.
This fits into the PDS slot on Macintosh SE/30, IIfx, and IIsi. Every single PDS signal is broken out to its own LED, and the end result is delightfully blinky. The side connector is intended for use with logic analyzer probes, but you can also insert a second PDS card as well. It is not intended for use in a chassis - while not impossible, the card brackets must be bent out of the way, and the HDD cage removed.
The LC interposer is similar to the 030 PDS interposer. It adds a ROM socket footprint to allow for the possibility of a ROM SIMM on the LC, LCII, LCIII systems (with addition of a jumper and removing the LB ROMs). Card under test is flipped upside down to allow attaching test clips and probing signals.
